Privacy Policy
This explains what personal data Nikola Innovations collects, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It describes what this site actually does, not what a generic policy might cover.
Last updated: 10 August 2026.
Who we are
Nikola Innovations is a service operated by Nikola Innovations Limited. The company is the data controller for the personal data described here, which means it is the organisation responsible for it and the one to contact about it.
- Registered address
- 40 Sobo Arobiodu Street, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, Nigeria
- Data protection contact
- privacy@nikolainnovationsltd.com
What we collect
Only what you type. We do not buy data about you, and browsing the site collects nothing about you personally.
- When you request a technical assessment
- Your name, email address, website address, and anything you write in the "biggest concern" field.
- When you paste your website into the homepage
- The web address you enter, recorded before we know who you are. If you then give Sy your name and email, those are stored alongside it.
- When you use the contact form
- Your name, email address, and your message.
- When you chat with Nik
- Your messages are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply, and we keep the conversation so our team can follow up and improve how we help. We delete stored conversations after 30 days, and sooner on request.
- If you book a call
- The booking window is operated by Cal.com. The details you enter there go to Cal.com and into our calendar, under their privacy policy as well as this one.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To prepare what you requested, and to reply to you
- Lawful basis: consent, which you give by submitting the form. You asked us to get in touch, so we do. You can withdraw at any time by emailing us, and we will stop.
- To contact businesses we think we can help
- Lawful basis: legitimate interest in offering a relevant service to a business. We contact organisations, not individuals at home, using business contact details. Every message says who we are and how to stop hearing from us, and we stop immediately when asked.
- To understand how the site is used
- Lawful basis: consent. Analytics only runs if you accept it, and it sets no cookies. See our cookie policy.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build a profile of you.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of providers to run the business. They process data on our instructions only.
- Our own servers in the EU, where enquiries are stored.
- OpenAI, to generate Sy's replies from your messages.
- Resend, to send you confirmation emails.
- Telegram, to notify us that an enquiry arrived.
- Cal.com, if you book a call.
Nikola Innovations Limited is established outside the European Economic Area, and some of the providers above are too. That means personal data collected here is transferred outside the EEA to be handled. Where a provider offers them, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 30 days from your last contact with us, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. After that they are deleted automatically. If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we do. Chat conversations with Nik are kept for the same period and then deleted automatically.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- Show you what we hold about you.
- Correct anything wrong.
- Delete it.
- Stop using it, including objecting to us contacting you.
- Send you a copy in a portable format.
Email privacy@nikolainnovationsltd.com and we will respond within one month. You do not need to give a reason to be deleted or to be left alone.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng, or to the supervisory authority where you live.
For what we store on your device, see the cookie policy. If we change this policy we will update the date at the top.
